Today is fat Tuesday, the day before we begin our fast. I’m not Catholic but we live in the South of Germany and it’s pretty Catholic here. The tradition is to eat a jelly filled donut called a Berliner. I also took the kids to McDonald’s because they are giving up fast food until Easter.
