I think he has it!

It was so exciting today to see Philip finally "get" math. He is learnig delayed. He goes to a special school. He is in the 5th grade but just learning multipication. He came home from school yesterday and told me he was already done with his home work. So I said Ok, let me look at it. It was math (the 8's). I asked him a few math questions. He couldn't answer anything right. So I asked him if someone had done his homework for him. He said no, but he had used a caculator. So I made him do it again. But I also began teaching him his 8's. He started to get it yesterday. Then today I taught him the trick, 8...6...4...2...0...
That is 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 88, 96, 104, 112, 120. Do you get it? 8,6,4,2,0...8, 6, 4, 2, 0. Then he really got it good! Tomorrow we do the 9's.
