We live in the South of Germany and they celebrate Fasching here. It's basically Carnival or Mardi Gras...just German style. The kids get to wear costumes to school. I got Sarah a Pippi long stocking costume, but she didn't want it. She wanted to wear Philip's old Spiderman costume. Spiderman is way cooler then Pippi right!
